It was a night to not only honour the Petes heroes of the past, but also to honour the new crop of Petes, as they kicked off the 2023/24 regular season.
The organization welcomed back former Captain Shawn Spearing and raised the banners to the ceiling to put a cap on the championship year, and kick off the brand new campaign.
In town, were the Kingston Frontenacs who were looking to spoil the Petes party, but, as Stew Kernan says a see saw matchup resulted in a powerplay goal for the win in the third.
