Katchiwano Golf and Country Club will re-open June 26th under new ownership, ending months of speculation over its future.
Earlier this month, Jack Ault, one of several bidders for the property, took ownership of the 18-hole golf course off Young’s Point Road near Lakefield.
Now, says manager Jesse Grespan, the aim is to get golfers back on the fairways and greens.
Next on the agenda, says Grespan, is to prepare the course’s amenties, such as “centralizing” the pro shop. Meanwhile, he’s confident golfers will return to a course that has a long history.
Grespan notes they’re not reinventing the wheel in terms of what Katchiwano offers golfers.
