The Art Gallery of Peterborough, Peterborough Public Library and Peterborough Museum and Archives are all holding events to honour National Indigenous History Month.
June aims to recognize the history and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis.
Professor at the Chanie Wenjack School for Indigenous Studies, Dr. Jackson Pind, says we are always learning more about Indigenous people and their connections to our land.
Dr. Pind says we all still need to look closely at the Truth and Reconciliation Report.
Residents are being encouraged by the city to visit the ‘The Nogojiwanong Project’ at the south end of Millennium Park.
