One of the most enduring and passionate sports rivalries is coming to the Memorial Centre this fall as a fundraiser for the Greater Peterborough Health Services Foundation.
On what is billed as Rivalry Night, alumni of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens will face off November 17th.
Foundation executive director Vince Bierworth says the on-ice showdown will no doubt generate excitement amongst local fans of both teams.
Bierworth explains funds raised will assist the foundation in its important work.
Bierworth says coming up with different fundraising initiatives that have a wide appeal is the name of the game. He adds such events bring important awareness too.
