One person has died as a result of a head on crash on Highway 7 east of Peterborough.
Officials say that an eastbound tractor-trailer and a westbound SUV crashed head on just after 1pm this afternoon between County Road 38 and Asphodel 3rd Line.
Police say the driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. They say that no other injuries were reported at the time of the crash.
Officials have the highway closed while they investigate the cause.
