To some, the Petes march to an OHL title was an unlikely journey – to others, anything less would have been a disappointment with such a talented roster.
Peterborough captured its first league crown in 17 years on Sunday night, with hundreds of fans gathering at Quaker Foods City Square on Monday to celebrate the team’s win.
During the celebration, General Manager Mike Oke said the support the team has received throughout the regular season and playoffs has been incredible.
Oke added that he had tremendous belief in his team and is happy all their hard work paid off.
Now that the celebration is over, Oke says the staff is busy working on a game plan to give the organization its second ever Memorial Cup championship.
