Another blast of winter is going to hit the area.
Environment Canada has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Peterborough and southern Kawartha Lakes.
The forecast is calling for heavy snow and blowing snow Friday into Saturday, totaling 15-to-20 centimetres. Officials warn about hazardous travel conditions.
There remains some uncertainty at this point to the placement of the heaviest snow but other warnings may be issued as the event draws nearer.
