A 62-year-old Peterborough man got the surprise of his life recently.
Bryan Weir is $100,000 richer, winning the prize from a Bingo ticket his wife gave him as a stocking stuffer for Christmas.
A week after Christmas, Weir checked the ticket, then had to double-check it to make sure it was real.
Weir shared the news with his son and daughter, who were both as shocked as he was.
Now, Weir says, he plans to put some of his winnings towards home improvements and leave the rest for savings.
