The Canadian Mental Health Association, and in particular its Garden Homes Project, will be the benefactors of local realtors’ generosity in 2023.
Peterborough and the Kawarthas Association of Realtors announced this week that the agency has been chosen as its Realtors Care Charity of Choice over the next year.
Association president and realtor Kate Kidd says giving to a housing-related initiative goes hand-in-hand with a profession that “eats, sleeps and breathes housing.”
Kidd notes from an organizational standpoint, giving back is something association members have made a habit of doing.
The Realtors Care Foundation, says Kidd, accommodates what she sees as an obligation to give back.
This year saw association members raise close to $26,000 for the Youth Emergency Shelter.
