Thousands and thousands of votes have already been cast, and it’s shaping up to be a memorable race to be Peterborough’s next mayor.
One of the candidates is long-time city councillor Henry Clarke.
Current councillor Stephen Wright was the first to toss his name into the hat earlier this year and says homelessness has come up a lot at the doors.
Former city councillor and MPP Jeff Leal believes he’s the best choice to bring everyone together.
Victor Kreuz says putting his name forward was important and if he pulls off a victory, it would be an amazing story.
The final candidate is former real estate broker Brian Lumsden. Lumsden has a desire for a family-friendly Peterborough where people – both residents and visitors – “are comfortable walking down our streets and through our parks.”
Polls close at 8 p.m.
