-Wag’O’Ween: Parents with Fur Babies: bring your pets to Wag’O’Ween Lakefield this Saturday, October 15th from 11 am – 3 pm for pet trick or treats! A map of participating businesses can be picked up at The Cheesy Fromage, 25 Queen Street, Lakefield or found on our Facebook page! Most stations will give out treats outdoors, so enjoy the beautiful day in the prettiest town in Ontario on the Cutest Day of the Year!! Pets must be leashed and scooped after. Money is being raised along the route for Lakefield Animal Welfare Society including all proceeds from a raffle for a $25 Gift Certificate and BARK-uterie Board from The Cheesy Fromage!
-Our Pet Party: The Peterborough Humane Society is hosting Our Pet Party, a formal fundraiser in support of the new Animal Care Centre on October 15th from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. The event will be located at Lang Pioneer Village in the Agricultural Heritage Building and surrounded by the beauty of the fall season. Ticket purchase includes a delicious dinner with an array of local and seasonal offerings including a festive fall dessert station, a drink ticket, photo booth, entertainment, dancing and live auction. Come and celebrate with us as the Peterborough Animal Care Centre becomes closer to completion! More sponsorship opportunities are available to help us reach our fundraising goal & auction items are also appreciated!
-St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church Turns 100: St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Coboconk is celebrating 100 years of faith and fellowship. Everyone is welcome to attend the 100th Anniversary Mass. Saturday October 15th 2022 at 4pm. The celebration continues with food and refreshments at 6pm at the Coboconk Lions Hall. Followed by a Community Hymn Sing at 7pm. Freewill offerings in support of the Coboconk Food Bank and the St. Margaret Mary Building Fund would be appreciated.

Prizes will be included! Whether you are a regular visitor to Market Plaza, or never stopped in before, you are invited to spend a few minutes with us, interact with some fun activities, and share your stories on how plaza parking lots can be made more inviting and sustainable. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
