The Peterborough Timbermen have made a splash ahead of the start of the Arena Lacrosse League season.
Taite Cattoni has been acquired from the Brampton Express after he was selected from the Oshawa Outlaws in this past weekend’s expansion draft. Going to Brampton is third-year forward Mitchell Geoffroy.
Meantime, three Timbermen were selected in the expansion draft: defenceman Tyler Grandel, forward Mikael Chullen and transition Zack Thompson will join the Express this season. Grandel is a junior Lakers graduate and Chullen is a member of the Sr. C Lakefield Rage. Thompson had been a member of the Timbermen since the team’s inception and was a leader on the floor and in the dressing room.
The Timbermen open their 2022-23 schedule on Friday, December 16th with an 8 p.m. game at Brampton’s Memorial Arena.
