Tragedy has struck in the hockey world.
Eli Palfreyman died on Tuesday while playing in a pre-season tournament for the Ayr Centennials of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League.
Palfreyman was selected by the Petes 223rd overall in the 12th round of the 2018 OHL Priority Selection.
The forward has attended several Petes Training Camps and Development Camps in Peterborough.
General Manager Mike Oke released a statement after the news surfaced:
“Our deepest sympathies go out to Eli’s family and all of his teammates and staff with Ayr. We’re keeping them in our thoughts and prayers”
