Police have made an arrest, following their investigation into a shooting in the area of Stewart and Dalhousie on July 11th.
The shooting victim was airlifted to a Toronto hospital, and police said that they did not believe the shooting to be a random incident.
Yesterday, police in Montreal arrested a 19 year old based on a Canada Wide Warrant.
He has been charged with:
Attempted Murder
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Possession of a Prohibited Firearm
Robbery Using a Firearm
Possession of a Firearm Contrary To a Prohibition Order
Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
Pointing a Firearm
Discharging a Firearm With Intent
Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
and 6 counts Failure To Comply With A Release Order
The 19 year old has been transported to Peterborough and remains in custody.
