Local entrepreneur Tyler Scott, the owner and executive chef of Rare Restaurant in Peterborough, is being honoured by Fleming College.
Scott, a Co-op Diploma Apprenticeship, Culinary graduate from the class of 2011 will be receiving the 2022 Alumnus of Distinction Award.
The award celebrates alumni who attain outstanding career success and professional achievement. Tyler and his wife Kassy recently announced a new chapter in their lives and will be launching Rare Escape: Outdoor Guided Culinary Experiences.
Scott’s traditional Rare Restaurant will also see some changes, transforming into a Culinary Arts Studio that will aim to bring the community together through food.
Scott will be honoured with Fleming College’s Alumnus of Distinction Award during the Convocation on June 17th.
