Peterborough city council has officially said yes to the construction of three apartment buildings on Water Street.
The site plan application was given final approval earlier this week.
The property, which is on the west side of Water Street, north of Carnegie Avenue, was historically used as a gravel pit; however, the site was remediated some time after 1966 and the property has remained undeveloped since that time.
The site plan shows there would be 165 on-street parking spaces with 20 of those spaces proposed to be barrier free and three spaces having electric vehicle charging capabilities.
Conditions on the site plan approval would include a deposit of a $43,895.90 contribution to the Parkland Levy, a deposit of site work performance security in the amount of $150,000, and $52,774.40 in compensation in accordance with the Woodland Conservation By-law.
