The Iain Steele Leadership Award is one that’s given to a student at Fleming College who demonstrates great ambition, is innovative and has a high degree of moral standards and integrity, and nobody embodies that criteria quite like Jessica Watson.
Watson just finished her first semester of Project Management at Fleming, with her second semester starting this summer. While the program is completely online, she says it’s one that’s heavily based for international students with many of her classmates in different time zones. She says this has been a great way to learn and adapt on the fly.
Right now, Jessica works with local digital marketing agency Acord30 as a project manager. She says she wants to stay in a role like this in the future, and enjoys the leadership aspects.
In her spare time, she mentors as an archery coach, and says being involved with youth athletes and helping them achieve their full potential is something she enjoys.
