No matter what, there will be a changing of the guard in Selwyn this October.
Mayor Andy Mitchell has announced he will not be seeking a second term in the mayor’s chair. Mitchell has been on council since 2010 and before that, was a Liberal MP in the riding of Parry Sound-Muskoka.
Shortly after that news came to light, Deputy Mayor Sherry Senis took to Twitter and said she will be running to replace him.
Senis was acclaimed to her current position in 2018.
