Much like minor hockey saw in the winter, minor lacrosse may run into some referee shortages this coming season.
Peterborough Minor Lacrosse Association President John Pacey says they’re looking at a few different options to hopefully avoid this happening.
One of the ideas that’s been bounced around has been refs being more involved with the organization.
Pacey says some OLA tournaments have been put on hold because of referee shortages, but the Laker Classic is not one of them.
Last week, Pacey noted that registration for tryouts are open and many players and coaches alike are excited for the first full-season since 2019. You can learn more at the PMLA’s website.
