The Peterborough Timbermen made a pair of trades this week as they continue to tweak their roster.
Goaltender Troi Benedict was sent to the Whitby Steelhawks for a draft pick. Benedict, a 2019 Timbermen draft pick, played seven games for the Timbermen in 2020 with a 1-3 record and 16.56 GAA. He backed up Lukas Coote in his first game with the Steelhawks this weekend, a 9-7 win over the Paris RiverWolves.
The Timbermen also sent defender Joe Wasson to the Oshawa Outlaws for a draft pick. Wasson had been with the Timbermen since their inception in 2017 but had yet to suit up for a game this season.
The 4-0 Timbermen return home to Millbrook Arena this coming Saturday, February 26th at 2 p.m. to host the second place Six Nations Snipers (3-1).
