$2.5-million has been invested by the Ontario government to Kawartha Ethanol in Havelock to help them manufacture high-grade, pure ethanol for hand sanitizers and disinfectant.

Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade Vic Fedeli announced that this is all part of a larger investment by Kawartha Ethanol.
In total, the Ontario government has set aside an additional $50-million for the Ontario Together Fund for 2021-2022.
