Peterborough Regional Health Centre has received a historic donation of $5-million dollars.
The announcement was made at a private donor event earlier today that Jim Neill is committing the money for the hospital’s cardiac care services.
Neill says he’s seen the hospital grow over the decades and is excited for the future.
PRHC President and CEO Dr. Peter McLaughlin says the top-level care offered there isn’t possible without donors.
PRHC Interventional Cardiologist and Head of Cardiology Dr. Warren Ball says this donation will help serve patients even better than before.
The gift is the largest in the history of the PRHC Foundation. President and CEO of the Foundation Lesley Heighway says support like this is crucial to the future of the hospital.
Dr. Ball added that while the planning for this opportunity is in the early stages, PRHC is committed to ensuring patients have access to the finest, most comprehensive cardiac care available.
