Peterborough Mayor Diane Therrien has been elected to chair the Eastern Ontario Mayors Caucus.
Therrien says this caucus helps bring forth a stronger voice when it comes to provincial meetings.
She adds there’s a lot of different issues the 11 municipalities face, but one common issue across the board.
As far as her duties as Peterborough Mayor, she says there won’t be much of a difference at all as she was already part of EOMC meetings before becoming chair. Therrien will serve a two year term as chair.
