Kawartha Lakes Police will be putting a focus on catching distracted drivers in August.
The police force says on the first day of the distracted driving campaign, six motorists were charged.
Distracted driving is one of the leading causes of collisions in Ontario every year, and holds a fine of up to $1000, three demerit points and a three-day license suspension.
