Canadian Blood Services is on the road this week, hosting a mobile blood clinic Wednesday at Trent University.
Set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the university’s Athletic Centre on West Bank Drive, the clinic is by appointment only. To register for a time, visit www.blood.ca or download the GiveBlood app.
Blood services community development manager Jill Gemmiti says with the clinic being held during Trent’s Reading Week, the hope is members of the public will roll up their sleeves.
Gemmiti says the recent tragedy at CFB Wainwright has highlghted the fact that an urgent need for blood can arise at any time.
Gemmiti notes the mobile clinic comes on the heels of the annual Legacy Blood Drive organized by Lynn Witteveen in remembrance of Dr. Andrew Chan.
