Peterborough residents can begin casting their ballots today in the 2026 municipal and school board election.
Online voting opens at 10 a.m. Monday, and will remain available until 8 p.m. on election day, Monday, October 26.
Voter notification cards have been mailed to eligible voters and include information needed for online voting, along with details about in-person voting options.
Residents who have not received a voter notification card can access their information through the city’s online voter services. Voters can also use the portal to confirm their registration or update their information.
Peterborough has offered internet voting as an option since 2006. In the 2022 municipal election, 18,246 people cast their ballots online, representing just over 69 per cent of everyone who voted.
For residents who prefer to vote in person, advance voting will take place Wednesday, October 14 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Healthy Planet Arena on Monaghan Road.
On election day, October 26, in-person voting will be available from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at ward-specific locations across the city.
Voters can find their voting information, registration status, candidates and other election details through Peterborough Votes.
