A second teenager has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Lindsay earlier this week.
Kawartha Lakes Police say members of the Criminal Investigation Branch identified another person allegedly involved in the September 30 incident on Logie Street.
Investigators arrested a 17-year-old Lindsay boy on Thursday, October 1, with assistance from the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement, or ROPE, Squad.
Police say the teen was taken into custody without incident.
He has been charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, obstructing justice and failing to comply with a sentence order.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
His identity cannot be released under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The charges have not been proven in court.
The arrest follows an incident shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday when police were called to a Logie Street residence and found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The victim was taken to hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
An 18-year-old Lakefield man was previously arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm in connection with the same investigation. He was later released from custody.
