Ontario Provincial Police have charged a 35-year-old Trent Lakes man following a sexual assault investigation involving multiple youth and say they believe there may be additional victims.
Peterborough OPP and the detachment’s Crime Unit began investigating a reported sexual assault involving a youth on August 29.
Police say the investigation identified additional youth victims and alleged offences at multiple locations.
On September 8, officers arrested Johnathan Dollimore, 35, of Trent Lakes.
He faces 19 charges, including two counts each of sexual interference, sexual assault on a person under 16 and luring a person under 16 by means of telecommunication.
He is also charged with sexual assault, corrupting children, spousal assault and assault causing bodily harm by choking, suffocating or strangling.
The remaining charges include three counts of breaching a recognizance and six counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
OPP say Dollimore previously operated a retail storefront in Lindsay and more recently operated a cannabis delivery business. Investigators allege he used those businesses to facilitate offences.
Police believe there may be other victims and are asking anyone who may have experienced a similar incident, or who has information about the investigation, to come forward.
Dollimore remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on October 20.
