The Peterborough Petes continue to add to their forward group ahead of Thursday’s OHL regular-season opener.
General Manager and Vice President of Operations Michael Oke announced Tuesday that the team has signed centre Jack Clarke to an OHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
The Milton Keynes, U.K., native was originally selected by the Erie Otters in the third round, 47th overall, of the 2024 OHL U18 Priority Selection.
Clarke appeared in 19 games for Erie during the 2024-25 season before spending the majority of the past two seasons in the Greater Ontario Hockey League.
Last season, Clarke recorded 10 goals and 14 assists for 24 points with the St. Marys Lincolns. He added seven points in 23 playoff games as the Lincolns advanced to the Sutherland Cup final.
“Jack is a big, physical forward who is tough to play against,” said Oke. “He loves to battle and will do anything to help the team win.”
Clarke says he’s looking forward to playing in Peterborough and believes the team has the potential to do something special this season.
The signing comes one day after the Petes announced they had signed fellow forward Mason Minsky, another free-agent training camp invite.
Peterborough opens the 2026 OHL regular season Thursday, September 17 against the Kingston Frontenacs at the Peterborough Memorial Centre. You can listen live on FREQ 90.5 beginning at 7.
