A 23-year-old Peterborough man is facing an assault charge following an altercation Tuesday night.
Peterborough Police say officers were called to the area of New Romaine Street and Grady Avenue at approximately 10 p.m. on September 1 following a report of an assault.
When officers arrived, they located a man who had suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say their investigation determined the people involved in the altercation were known to each other.
The accused was arrested and charged with assault.
The victim was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for further treatment.
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on November 24.
