Peterborough Petes Training Camp continued Wednesday with roster moves and a convincing win for Team Maroon at Healthy Planet Arena.
The Petes began the third day of camp with player reassignments and an updated roster before hitting the ice for Wednesday’s lone scrimmage.
Team Maroon came away with a 5-1 victory over Team White.
Jack Clarke opened the scoring just over two minutes into the first period, with assists going to Cooper Dennis and Holden Carter. Jonny Brooks doubled the lead late in the period, assisted by Calum Hartnell and Pacey Adduono.
Maroon continued to pull away in the second.
Dennis scored to make it 3-0 before Nolan Gerow added another goal later in the period, with Aiden Young and Adam Levac picking up assists.
Team White got on the board early in the third when Braydon McCallum scored from Petes captain Carson Cameron.
James McMurray rounded out the scoring for Maroon midway through the third, finishing the game with a goal and an assist. Hartnell recorded two assists in the win, while Clarke also finished with two points.
Training Camp scrimmages wrap up Thursday, August 27 with games at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Both will be played on the Sign-A-Fied pad at Healthy Planet Arena and are open to the public.
