Tickets are now available for one of the Peterborough and Kawarthas business community’s biggest annual celebrations.
The Peterborough + Kawarthas Chamber of Commerce will hold its 2026 Business Excellence Awards Gala on Thursday, October 22 at Kawartha Downs.
Now in its 23rd year, the awards recognize businesses, entrepreneurs, leaders and organizations for their contributions to the local economy and community.
This year, organizers are introducing a more formal gala-style format, including a cocktail hour beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by the awards dinner at 6:30 p.m.
“Every business, whether a small family-run operation or a large organization, represents people who show up every day with determination, creativity, and a commitment to making our community stronger,” Chamber Board Chair Susan Dunkley said.
Dunkley said the awards provide an opportunity to recognize the work and perseverance behind local business success.
Chamber President and CEO Brenda Whitehead said organizers are excited about the refreshed format and are hoping the business community comes together for the celebration.
“It’s going to be a luxurious, high-energy night showcasing the very best of our homegrown talent, grit, and generosity,” Whitehead said.
The evening will feature appetizers from Fyrestoke and a locally sourced catered dinner prepared by Chemong Lodge.
Individual tickets range from $115 to $125, depending on seating, while premium table sponsorships are available for $1,500.
Tickets purchased by September 18 will be entered into a draw for prizes from local merchants.
The final deadline to purchase tickets is October 8.
