STUFF TO DO
Friday: Turtle Guardians is continuing its Turtle House Tours throughout the summer. Meet live turtles and learn about a number of different species and how to protect them. Tours will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday: Explore Downtown Peterborough’s historic music scene with live music enthusiast and guide Maddie More, visiting iconic and forgotten venues from the latter half of the 20th century and their impact on the community. This 19+ walking tour from 7 to 10 p.m. covers several downtown blocks, rain or shine, with opportunities to visit current venues and enjoy a drink.
Saturday: Trent Valley Archives and the Peterborough Lawn Bowling Club present “Bowling on the Green: 125 Years of Lawn Bowling in Peterborough” book launch event starting at 10 a.m. at Peterborough Lawn Bowling Club (577 McDonnel St.) The book, written by Elwood Jones and Steve Russell, looks at the history of lawn bowling in Peterborough.
Sunday: The Kiwanis Club of Scott’s Plains is hosting Lemonade Stand Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in support of the Riverview Park and Zoo. To find a stand closest to you, visit the website.
