Every dollar can go a long way during the Mark’s All Hands-on Deck Food Drive.
On Thursday, 96.7 WOW FM and FREQ 90.5 will be out at several different locations collecting food and money to support Kawartha Food Share.
General Manager Jef Dueck says this is always an event he looks forward to.
You can visit Jo Anne’s Place Health Foods, Foodland locations on Sherbrooke, in East City and in Ennismore, as well as Greg’s No Frills and Taylor’s No Frills between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to take part.
Dueck says KFS plays such an important role in the community.
The organization supports student nutrition programs at 51 area schools. Through breakfast and meal programs, those efforts are helping feed more than 17,000 school-aged children every single day.
Dueck adds an event like this wouldn’t be possible without the help of local businesses and sponsors.
In 2025, the Mark’s All Hands-on Deck Food Drive brought in more than 4400 pounds of food to help stock the shelves at the Neal Drive warehouse.
