STUFF TO DO
Thursday: Mark’s, 96.7 WOW FM and Freq 90.5 are coming together for the All Hands on Deck Food Drive in support of Kawartha Food Share. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. visit any 5 participating grocery stores and help to stock the shelves with school lunch snacks and other non-perishable food items for local families in need. Thursday: 4th Line Theatre presents “Wild Irish Geese” by Megan Murphy, and directed by Kim Blackwell. The local production which is back by popular demand starts at 6 p.m.
Friday: Turtle Guardians is continuing its Turtle House Tours throughout the summer. Meet live turtles and learn about a number of different species and how to protect them. Tours will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday: Explore Downtown Peterborough’s historic music scene with live music enthusiast and guide Maddie More, visiting iconic and forgotten venues from the latter half of the 20th century and their impact on the community. This 19+ walking tour from 7 to 10 p.m. covers several downtown blocks, rain or shine, with opportunities to visit current venues and enjoy a drink.
