A new family attraction celebrating the history and landmarks of the Peterborough and Kawartha Lakes region is officially open.
The Little Mini Golf Co. held its grand opening Thursday, welcoming community leaders, local dignitaries, media and visitors to experience its new full-scale 18-hole miniature golf course.
Located as an extension of The Little Frozen Yogurt Company, the new attraction was created by owner Sean Harris as a way to bring people together while showcasing the stories and places that make the region unique.
The course features holes inspired by local landmarks and historical moments, including the Peterborough Lift Lock and the historic 1885 Douro dynamite explosion.
Harris says the goal was to create a destination where families and friends can enjoy outdoor fun while learning more about the community.
The Little Mini Golf Co. team says the response from the community has been extremely positive and they are excited to welcome residents and visitors throughout the summer.
