Peterborough Police are investigating a street-level robbery after a person reported having a gold chain stolen at knifepoint downtown.
Officers were called to the area of Rink Street and Aylmer Street at approximately 9:50 p.m. on Aug. 4, following reports of the robbery.
Police searched the area after arriving but were unable to locate a suspect. The victim was not injured.
The suspect was described as a white male between 30 and 40 years old, who was wearing grey sweatpants and a grey sweater. Police say the suspect was bald.
