Organizers of the third annual Steve Mayhew Pickleball Tournament are claiming a huge success, citing the participation of more than 150 players.
Held July 25th and 26th at Bonnerworth Park, the tournament showcased the continued growth of the sport locally while providing a donation to the sports division at Warkworth Correctional Facility where Mayhew worked for many years.
A passionate advocate of the game, Mayhew is remembered for his commitment to brining people together through pickleball.
Hosted by the Peterborough Pickleball Assocation, the tournament saw gold, silver and bronze medals presented to the top players in 20 divisions representing a variety of ages and skill levels.
