Peterborough and the Kawarthas will soon be in the national spotlight as ‘The Amazing Race Canada’ makes a stop in the region.
Tourism officials announced the CTV series will feature Peterborough and the Kawarthas during Episode 1205, which airs Tuesday, Aug. 11, at 9 p.m. ET.
The episode follows contestants as they race from Laval, Que., to a series of challenges in Peterborough and the surrounding Kawarthas Northumberland region.
While organizers are keeping details about the local challenges under wraps, the episode is expected to showcase some of the area’s attractions and scenery to viewers across the country. One location that has confirmed they took part is the Canadian Canoe Museum.
Those who miss the broadcast can stream the episode beginning Aug. 12 on Crave.
