As families prepare for the upcoming school year, Gauvreau Accounting Tax Law Advisory is running its annual Gear Up for Good campaign, with the goal of providing 300 fully stocked backpacks to children in need across Ontario and Manitoba.
Since it began, the campaign has helped provide over 600 fully stocked backpacks to children and families. Now in its 5th year, Gauvreau is hoping to expand their impact by providing 300 more; 200 for children in Ontario and 100 in Manitoba.
Founder and CEO Bob Gauvreau says that every child deserves to feel prepared and excited when walking into their first day of school.
With the support of partnerships such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kawartha Lakes-Haliburton, the Kawartha Haliburton Children’s Foundation and Dominos Pizza, he believes the community will be able to meet their fundraising goals.
Gauvreau encourages individuals or local businesses who would like to get involved to reach out to his team.
The campaign will run from July 23 to August 12.
