A break-in that left Kit Coffee’s front door damaged has forced the downtown café to temporarily close today (Tuesday).
The storefront, located on Hunter Street West, was left with broken front door glass. In a post on their Instagram, the cafe says thankfully no merchandise or cash was stolen.
“This is mostly emotionally exhausting, we lose a day of sales,” Kit Coffee said online.
They thank a grant from the Peterborough Downtown Business Improvement Area (DBIA) that should cover the cost of the repairs.
“If we’re able to get the door repaired today, we should be open again tomorrow. So much love to you all.”
