A Verulam Township man is facing charges after an altercation at the scene of a Canada Day collision in Bobcaygeon.
City of Kawartha Lakes OPP say officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of East Street South and Mill Street shortly before noon on July 1. No one was injured in the collision.
During the investigation, police learned that before officers arrived, a person who was not involved in the crash allegedly became involved in an altercation with one of the drivers.
As a result of the investigation, 51-year-old Mark Donaldson of Verulam Township has been charged with assault and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
Donaldson is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on Aug. 13.
The investigation remains ongoing. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP or Crime Stoppers.
