The Peterborough + Kawarthas Chamber of Commerce is calling for nominations for their annual Business Excellence Awards, celebrating local businesses that demonstrate excellence, inspire innovation and set the standard for outstanding business practices throughout the community.
The Business Excellence Awards ceremony has been a long-standing event dedicated to promoting the advancement of responsible business leadership and prosperity within the community.
Peterborough + Kawarthas Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Brenda Whitehead encourages community members to recognize outstanding local businesses by submitting a nomination before the July 17 deadline.
With over 15 award categories available, including Tourism, Retail, Skilled Trades and Indigenous Led Business, nominators are encouraged to review the category descriptions and select the one that best reflects the business’ achievements and contributions.
The Chamber notes that self-nominations will not be accepted, but people may encourage supporters to put forth a nomination for their business. Nominees do not need to be members of the Peterborough + Kawarthas Chamber of Commerce, and all businesses operating within the borders of the City and County of Peterborough are eligible.
Nominees will be asked to submit detailed information about their businesses. Based on their submissions, winners will be chosen by a panel of independent judges.
Whitehead gives insight into the judging panel for this year’s awards.
Nominations can be made online at pkcc.awardify.io.
