The ongoing demand for climate change action will take on a musical voice this Sunday at the Nicholls Oval Park Pavilion.
A performance by Toronto social activist and accomplished singer-songwriter Faith Nolan will highlight Sing for Freedom and the Planet from 2 to 4 p.m. Peterborough’s Raging Grannies will also contribute their musical voices to the free admission event.
Linda Slavin, a longtime member of event host For Our Grandchildren, says singing together with like-minded people gives a timely and powerful voice to the fight for climate change action.
Slavin is thrilled that Nolan has agreed to lead the singalong.
Slavin says For Our Grandchildren is active as ever in terms of getting its message around climate change heard by more people, particularly politicians.
