Multiculturalism is being celebrated in a very big way in Peterborough and other communities in and bordering the region.
Organized by the New Canadians’ Centre, the fifth annual Canadian Multiculturalism Festival sees a number of events taking place. For the full schedule of events, visit https://nccpeterborough.ca/multiculturalfestival-2026/.
NCC fundraising and communications director Katelyn Rothenbush says the festival is an invitation to experience what the many ethnic groups that call the area home have to offer.
Rothenbush says organizing the festival is no small task but it’s a great example of many hands make light work.
Rothenbush says Around the World in Northumberland on June 25th in Port Hope is one of two events she’s most looking forward to.
