The Peterborough Dragon Boat Festival is in the books for another year and the latest installment surpassed an impressive milestone.
So far, more than $312,000 has been raised for the PRHC Foundation. President and CEO Lesley Heighway spoke with PTBOTODAY.ca at Little Lake on Saturday.
With proceeds from the 2026 Festival, PRHC will be able to make several investments in cutting-edge technology that will facilitate earlier diagnosis and safer, more effective treatment, including: Interventional radiology ultrasound, Contrast-enhanced biopsy and an anesthesia machine.
Festival Chair Michelle Thornton says a day like this wouldn’t be possible without a complete team effort.
