The 2026 OHL Priority Selection in on Friday and Saturday at Slush Puppie Place in Kingston.
Petes’ Head Coach Rob Wilson says the return to an in-person format will be interesting after so many years of being virtual.
Peterborough will be picking 13th overall and General Manager and Vice President of Operations Michael Oke says there are many factors that go into the players they ultimately choose.
While drafting has never been an exact science, Oke says it truly is a full team effort.
The OHL Priority Selection has long served as a key milestone in the development of future hockey stars. Recent first overall picks rising to prominence include Matthew Schaefer, Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers and back-to-back Stanley Cup champion Aaron Ekblad of the Florida Panthers.
You will be able to listen to updates from the draft on Friday on both FREQ 90.5 and Oldies 96.7 starting at 2 p.m.
