Construction of a taxiway extension at the Peterborough Airport is underway.
The work will see Taxiway Bravo extended 1,500 to the west and include a holding bay that can accommodate aircraft with a wingspan of up to 23.9 metres. Improved aircraft movement efficiency and capacity will be among the benefits of the work to be completed in October.
Peterborough 2022 Master Plan Update for the airport identified the taxiway’s extension as a priority for improved ground traffic safety as well as a step toward addressing runway capacity needs.
