To say the first edition of the ‘Pay to Play’ for the PRHC Foundation exceeded expectations, might just be an understatement.
The fundraiser was held on Friday and included Oldies 96.7 broadcasting live from the cafeteria and taking song requests for a minimum $50 donation.
An official tally is still being done, but we know it went way beyond the $5,000 goal.
As part of the day, host Bill Porter spoke with a number of guests about what the PRHC means to them – including Michelle Thornton. Thornton is Chair of the Peterborough Dragon Boat Festival and says she’s looking forward to this year’s event on June 13th.
Another visitor was Pete Dalliday with the Century 21 Lakers organization. He says supporting the foundation is something the team felt it really had to get behind.
Money is still coming in and the link to donate is available. To donate, click here.
