Residents in the area surrounding Keith Wightman Park will have an opportunity this week to weigh in on potential upgrades and improvements as the city moves forward with community consultation.
A public drop-in session is scheduled for Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Keith Wightman Public School, 860 St. Mary’s St., where residents can review and discuss proposed enhancements to the park.
City officials say the feedback will help guide future improvements, which could include new amenities and upgrades designed to better reflect the needs and priorities of those who use the space regularly.
The consultation is part of an ongoing planning process aimed at shaping the park’s future based on community input.
For those unable to attend in person, the city is also offering an online survey and additional information through https://connectptbo.ca/wightman.
The survey will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on June 17, giving residents nearly two weeks after the drop-in session to provide feedback.
Officials are encouraging participation from residents of all ages, noting that input will help ensure the park remains accessible, functional and aligned with neighbourhood needs.
The session is part of the city’s broader approach to engaging the public in local park planning and development decisions.
